I. THE SWEETEST NAME I KNOW

A. Jesus is the sweetest name I know

And he's just the same as His lovely name

And that's the reason why I love Him so

For Jesus is the sweetest name I know

II. THE NAME OF JESUS IS A POWERFUL NAME

A. Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin had powerful names

1. But everyone of them has gone out of this world in defeat

(a) Their names have lost their power.

(b) But not so with Jesus

2. He had power to create the world.

(a) He has power over death and disease

(b) He has power over death and the grave

B. One day Jesus is going to come back and take His people to be with Him in Heaven

III. The Name of Jesus is a Sacrificial Name

A. He sacrificed His home in Heaven and came to Earth

1. He came to earth to suffer and die as our Savior

(a) He humbled Himself and became obedient to the cross

(b) In this world he had no home to call His own.

(c) He had no bed where He might lay His Head

2. The richest of the rich in heaven become the poorest on the poor on earth

B. Remember that sacrifice always entails suffering

1. Did anyone ever suffer like Jesus

2. Remember that this suffering was for you and me

IV. THE NAME OF JESUS IS AN EXALTED NAME

A. God has exalted Him and given him a name that is above every name.

1. Mary did not give Him his Name

(a) Joseph did not give Him his Name

(b) God gave Him His Name

2. Thou shalt call His Name Jesus for He shall save His people from their sin

(a) Jesus gave Himself for our redemption

(b) He has loved us with an everlasting love

B. Bring forth the royal Diadem and Crown Him Lord of all. Jesus Name is an Exalted Name

V. Jesus Name Is a Saving Name

A. There is none other Name under heaven whereby we must be Saved.

1. Call upon your good works-no salvation there

2. Call upon your charitable gift-no salvation there

B. But call upon Jesus and you will find salvation and comfort for your soul.

1. Yes, Jesus Name is a Saving Name

2. He will never let you down
