Dear Fellow Believers in Christ, (The Ministry of the Holy Spirit is to teach and reveal Christ in Us as Us)
The Father has sent the Holy Spirit to be the divine teacher and revealer of Christ in us, to every Spirit rebirthed Son. Does not the Word declare that Christ is our life and our expression in this temporal world? Does not declare that the Holy Spirit is the teacher and revealer of Christ? What loss comes to us from interchanging the Holy Spirit and Christ? What is the purpose that our one true God, desired to manifest Himself in three Persons or Personalities? Did He not do it for us to better know Him? Would it not be best for us to know Him as He wants to be known? What truth and reward comes out of our making a correct distinction between the Holy Spirit and Christ? Holy Spirit rightly divide your word of truth to us, concerning your ministry of the revelation of the Son. Help us to fully know the Christ who lives in us as us.
THE MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will hereafter send in my name, he shall hereafter teach you all things, and hereafter will bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have at intervals have said unto you . . . But when the Comforter at intervals comes, whom I will hereafter send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which ever proceeds from the Father, He shall ever testify of Me" (John 14:26, 15:26, Expanded Greek Transl.).
First, Our God Manifests Himself in Three Persons for Our Benefit
Our great God created this entire universe. Our Father designed His eternal plan, so that He could have Spirit birthed Sons in a loving, family relationship for eternity. Our Father chose us to be in Christ before the foundation of the world to complete our eternal preservation for His purpose (Eph. 1:4). The One God of the universe is omnipresent, and has chosen to manifest Himself through three (3) main Persons or Personalities: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Our God did this for a particular reason, so that we would be able to enter into this eternal relationship with Him as Father, and that we could have the maximum fellowship with Him in this Father-Son relationship while we were still here living in flesh in this temporal world. This is our God’s eternal plan and His desire to be manifested in three persons for our benefit. We need to understand the Who, why, and for what reasons that our God manifests Himself in all three Persons.
Second, Our Father is Invisible and Dwells in Unapproachable Light
Many don’t rightly divide the Word and make a distinction between the Triune Persons of the Godhead. Many often readily exchange the Holy Spirit and the Son as being synonymous. As a result, I see these people are missing some of the cardinal and the eternal purpose that our Father has for us in this distinction. These people are missing a major factor of the Father-Son fellowship that the Father desires for us. Our Heavenly Father dwells in unapproachable light, which no man has or can see (I Tim. 6:16). No man has seen God at any time in the flesh (John 1:18; I John 4:20). The Word is consistent on this point.
Third, The Son is in Us is the Life and Expression in this Temporal World
The Word is the living manifestation of God in flesh (John 1:14). The invisible Father spoke His Word and His Word became a living manifestation of Himself in flesh and calls it His Son. The Word became flesh in the Mary body and was called Jesus of Nazareth. Now, for every Spirit birthed Son, the Holy Spirit baptizes us into the Body of Christ (I Cor. 12:13). The word is also consistent when God comes to indwell flesh it is in the Person, Spirit, nature, and Seed of His Word – His Son. The Word is consistent about this as well. We are born again by the incorruptible word of God. That is the Son. John said, the "life is in the Son," not the Holy Spirit (I John 5:11). He who "has the Son has life," not he who has the Holy Spirit. (I John 5:12). Paul declares, that "Christ lives me" (Gal. 2:20) in Person, not the Holy Spirit. Paul states, that the Spirit of His Son expresses His love to the Father through us (Rom. 8:9; Gal. 4:6). The Son in us as us is life is the life and expression of God in us in this temporal world.
Fourth, The Ministry of the Holy Spirit is to Teach and Reveal Christ in Us
No man can come to the Son, except the Father draw them (John 6:44). The Father sends to Holy Spirit to testify of Christ and the things of Christ (John 14:26, 15:26). The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to teach and reveal Christ. The Holy Spirit first reveals Christ to us as Savior, our need as a sinner. The Holy Spirit convicts of sin (John 16:8). Then, the Holy Spirit speaks faith through the Word to us (Rom. 10:17). The Holy Spirit implants that incorruptible Seed, the Word of God – the Son in us, and we are born again (I Pet. 1:23). We are now complete in Spirit with a total new Person – Christ now living on the inside of us. We still have the same old carnal and unrenewed mind, that listens and tends to things of death. Above all, we now need to know and hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, who is the Person who speaks, teaches, and reveals Christ. The Holy Spirit is called the Comforter, Exhorter, and Encourager, because every time He focuses us that Christ is now living in us, to be everything the Father desires in and through us in this temporal life. Christians must stop being Christian actors and let the true Person of Christ live to the Father in and through us as us. That is the difference between night and day, and between a lie and genuine truth!
Fifth, We Must Rightly Move in the Divine Flow and Purpose of God
If we do not know the Holy Spirit as the teacher and revealer of Christ, we will wrongly attempt to focus men on the Holy Spirit as the Source of life instead of Christ. What is the difference? Are they not the same Persons of the Godhead? It is my earnest prayer that we will see what the Father desires in manifesting Himself in three Persons. He longs to have a deep, rich, and full fellowship with us in and through the Spirit of His Son. No one can come to the Father, except through the revelation of the Father through the Son (Matt. 11:27). The divine flow is now clear. The Father sends the Holy Spirit to birth His Son in Us. The Holy Spirit then reveals His Son in us. The more we know the Son in us, the more the mind and life of His Son can flow in us as us. The more His Son lives and expresses Himself in and through us, the more we have fellowship with the Father through His Son in us. We need to yield to His divine flow, until Christ lives His life and expression spontaneously in us as us. That is the Christ-life.
Sixth, We are in a New Creation Life with Everything in Spirit Complete
Paul tells us we are a new creature in Christ Jesus (II Cor. 5:17). Everything is now new in the Spirit, as we have received Christ in all His fullness in us at the Spirit rebirthing. However, all the old things of our carnal mind are at intervals passing away, as the Holy Spirit performs His transformation ministry in us.
Seventh, The Ministry of the Holy Spirit Reveals the Christ in Us as our Life
Paul informs us that we ever have the mind of Christ (I Cor. 2:16, 9-15). Yes, we received Christ with a full and complete mind when we were born again. We are very familiar with using our carnal mind that operates out of the knowledge of good and evil. We now need to know and hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, who can reveal and teach us of the Person of Christ who lives in us. We must spontaneously live out of the Christ-life – a union-life in us, with a full shared-life relationship with Christ in us as us. The Holy Spirit’s transformation ministry in us, is to fully reveal Christ in us – as our life; as our only true life of love and expression to others in us; and our link of fellowship with our Heavenly Father!
