Dear Fellow Believers in Christ, (The Mystery – Christ living in us as us – God's most important revelation to the church)

Is not the very reason Paul was called by Christ, was to deliver the final gospel of the mystery? Does Paul not declare that the mystery is to be revealed to the church and declared by the church? Is it not the heart of the Father's will, that the church of the living Christ in them, be fellowshipping with greater knowledge of the mystery? Did not Paul say that he wanted ALL PEOPLE to see "what is the fellowship of the mystery?" (Eph. 3:9). Is the mystery not the true liberating gospel message that we should be sharing within the church and to a lost and dying world? Do we not know that this is the liberating secret of Christ's resurrection, is that we have Christ living His resurrection life omnipresent in every Spirit rebirithed believer in Christ? Holy Spirit reveal to us truth as we look into the Word of God. We truly desire to know Christ in and through us as us in every facet and fellowship of the mystery.

THE MYSTERY

"But we ever speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, having already been hidden, which God once then predetermined before the ages for our glory" (I Cor. 2:7, Expanded Greek Translation – EGT).

First, Paul Gave the Final Apostolic Message to the Church in the Mystery
Jesus took Saul a persecutor and murderer of Christians and called him on the road to Damascus. Along with a blinding light from heaven that blinded his eyes, the Lord Jesus spoke to Saul and told him to go into the city for further instructions (Act 9:1-9). The Lord also spoke to a certain disciple named Ananias in a vision and told him exactly where to find Saul. The Lord also instructed him to lay his hands on Saul that he might receive his sight. The Lord said, that Saul (whose name was later changed to Paul) was a chosen vessel of His to bear His name before Gentiles, Kings, and the children of Israel (Acts 9:10-16). Paul was "called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God" (I Cor. 1:1). The Holy Spirit taught and revealed Christ in Paul (Gal 1:11,12). This is to be a new gospel, and the only gospel to the church. This is to be the final and ultimate apostolic message of God for the church. This is the mystery that is to be revealed by the Holy Spirit to the church (Eph. 3:3-11).

Second, Paul Declares The Mystery Has Now Been Revealed by The Spirit
The word used for mystery in the Greek is musterioin. Mystery, as spoken of in scripture, means to shut the mouth about a sacred thing hidden or kept secret. Mystery is naturally unknown to human reasoning and is only known by revelation of the Spirit of God. Paul tells us "that by revelation" the Father made known to him "the mystery" (Eph. 3:3). Paul wants the Gentiles to understand his knowledge in the mystery of Christ (Eph. 3:1,4). Paul tells us that the mystery of Christ was hidden from man in other ages and not known or revealed (Eph. 3:5). Then, Paul declares the mystery "has now been revealed by the Spirit to his holy apostles and prophet that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel" (Eph. 3:5,6). The Mystery is now uncovered or revealed to the Church.

Third, The Fellowship of The Mystery is Life in the Son and in the Father
Paul tells us that the proclaiming of the mystery was his ministry according to the effectual working of the power and the grace of God given to him (Eph. 3:7). Paul calls this "the unsearchable riches of Christ" (Eph. 3:8). In fact, Paul, the apostle spent his life focused on sharing by the Spirit of the revelation of the mystery of Christ in us. Paul's intense desire was "to make all people see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ" (Eph. 3:9). Paul clearly was led by the Spirit and knew the fellowship in the Son and the Father through the mystery. That is why Paul said, "For to me, to live is Christ" (Phil. 1:21). Paul knew that he was joined to the Lord in one Spirit with Him in the rebirthing (I Cor. 6:17). Through the fellowship of the mystery, Paul's mind was renewed by the Spirit to a life of unity and love in the Son and in the Father.

Fourth, The Riches of the Glory of The Mystery is Christ in You
Paul declared that, "the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory" (Col. 1:26-27). Over 150 times throughout his epistles, Paul talks about being in Christ. In Christ is our eternal position chosen by the Father before the foundation of the world (Eph. 1:4). Christ the living Word of eternal life was placed into us by the Holy Spirit at our rebirthing and regeneration (I Pet. 1:23). Christ, the Word in flesh is now being expressed through His Body on earth – the Body of Christ. This is the glory of the mystery, that God Himself, through the Person of His Son the Living Word, would come to live in rebirthed sons and be their very life and Spirit.

Fifth, Christ Living In Us as Us Are the Deep Things Revealed by The Spirit
Christ living in us as us in this new creation race is a mystery to the natural man and religion. Paul said "none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory" (I Cor. 2:8). Natural man cannot understand how every Person or Personality of the Trinity Godhead is omnipresent. Therefore, Christ can be in heaven in all authority while still living in every rebirthed son, all at the very same time. The natural eye just cannot see, nor the natural ear hear, nor can the natural heart or mind perceive what God has done for them in the mystery (I Cor. 2:9). But God our Father by the Holy Spirit has once then revealed all these deep things to the church (I Cor. 2:10).

Sixth, The Truth of The Mystery is that Christ not the Holy Spirit is Your Life
The Holy Spirit's primary ministry is to reveal CHRIST in you as YOUR LIFE, your only life and expression here in this earth. The Holy Spirit is NOT your life. The Holy Spirit is the teacher of Christ, who is your life (John 14:26; 15:26; 16:13-15; I John 5:11, 12). Paul is clear with the apostolic message that God sent Him to properly build His church on a sure foundation (Eph. 2:20). Christ is to be the life and the Person to live and express Himself in and through us. "It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me" (Gal. 2:20). Paul didn't say the Holy Spirit lives in me, He clearly said, CHRIST! Paul also said, "if anyone does not have the Spirit of CHRIST, he is not His. And if CHRIST is in you. . ." (Rom. 8: 9b, 10a). Again Paul did not say the Holy Spirit, he clearly said CHRIST! Then why do preachers and teachers want to convert these verses from Christ to the Holy Spirit, which only misleads from the truth? Perhaps the mystery has either not been revealed, or there is a greater concern about what other men might think of preaching or teaching that just teaches THE TRUTH of the mystery.

Seventh, The Church is Being Established By the Revelation of the Mystery
Paul said, "For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men: For if I still pleased men, I would not be a servant of Christ" (Gal. 1:10). Paul's gospel was not according to man, but through the revelation of Jesus Christ (Gal. 1:11,12). Paul's gospel focused just on Jesus Christ and Him crucified (I Cor. 2:2). Paul knew that the Father was able to build and establish His church, "according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which was kept secret since the world began but now has been made manifest. . .and made known to all nations" (Rom. 16:25-26a).
