Dear Fellow Believers in Christ, (Spirit rebirthed sons should hear and Obey His Voice)

Is not the church the fulfillment of the other sheep being discussed in John 10:16? If it is, does not this have a significant bearing on us? Does is say some of His sheep hear His voice, or some of His sheep might hear His voice? How did Christ learn obedience through suffering? What did Jesus Christ put to death on the cross? How does reckoning in line with that truth liberate us? What is our love obedience fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ? How does revelation and obedience couple together to produce mind renewal in us? Holy Spirit reveal to us truth as we look into the Word of God. We truly desire to know Christ in and through us in a full love obedience fellowship.

OBEY HIS VOICE

"My sheep ever hear my My voice, and I know them, and they ever follow Me. And I ever give them eternal life, and they shall not at intervals forever perish, neither shall anyone hereafter seize them out of My hand" (John 10:27-28, Expanded Greek Translation – EGT).

First, Jesus States that His Sheep Will Forever Hear His Voice
Jesus was talking to the Pharisees of the Jews in the discussions recorded in John chapter 10. However, Jesus clearly dropped in a word to clearly let the Church know that these sheep referred also to the rebirthed sons in the Body of Christ. Jesus states, "And other sheep ever have which are not of this fold [Israel]; them [the Church] also I must at intervals bring, and they will forever hear My voice; and there will forever be one flock and one shepherd" (John 10:16, EGT). We are told here that rebirthed sons will forever hear the voice of our Lord Jesus Christ, our Shepherd. The word does NOT say that His sheep might hear – or that some of His sheep would hear. What the Word clears says is that His sheep ever hear His voice (John 10:16, 27). That is an eternal truth uttered by our Lord, Himself. If I am not hearing His voice, either I am not one of His sheep, or either I am too clouded by sin or the cares of this world to hear His voice. Certainly, there are many other voices to distract us. If we are not ever hearing His voice, there is something that is not of Him in us.

Second, Christ Learned Obedience Through the Things That He Suffered
We are told that Christ, "though He ever was a Son, yet He at intervals learned obedience forth from the things which He at intervals suffered" (Hebr. 5:8, EGT). Jesus learned obedience through all of the cruel words and difficult situations that He faced in His earthly ministry. When Christ's faithfulness in obedience to the Father was finished in this earthly ministry, then He was qualified to become the Savior. "And once then having been finished, He at intervals became the author of eternal salvation to all who ever obey Him" (Hebr. 5:9, EGT). Jesus ultimately suffered by becoming the Father's Lamb on the cross. Christ is the author of eternal salvation to all who ever obey Him as Lord.

Third, Birthed Sons Obey the Voice of the Holy Spirit for Eternal Salvation
To avoid any misunderstanding, God's eternal salvation is not by works. Paul is clear that we are saved by grace through faith, "and that not of yourselves" (Eph. 2:8). It is "not of works, lest any man should boast" (Eph. 2:9). John said, "But as many as received Him, to them he gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God" (John 1:12,13). The Holy Spirit came to speak of Christ; convict us of our sins in our heart; and lead us to receive Christ as Lord and Savior. Then, how do we obey Him? We believe and receive the Lord and his free gift of eternal Salvation. We simply believe on His Eternal Father that sent Him. Jesus said, "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent me has eternal life, and shall not come into judgement, but has passed from death into life" (Jn. 5:24).

Fourth, God Gave Man a Limited Free Will for a Love Obedience Fellowship
Even Paul said, "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Rom. 10:9). Then, why do we see sin and disobedience come from professing Christians? Some Christians are just not hearing and obeying His voice. Why? God is definitely sovereign in this universe. However, He did not make His rebirthed sons puppets. God has given all men a limited free will to make their choices. At the Spirit regeneration and rebirthing, God did not take that limited free will away. However, the Father has desired that we will choose and build a love obedience fellowship with Him through Christ, who is now our Lord and Life. Our problem begins with the unrenewed mind that cannot focus or hear Christ. Satan and the things of this world speak to the unrenewed mind through our five natural senses directly fed into that carnal mind. We better choose to bring "every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (II Cor. 10:5).

Fifth, Obedient Rebirthed Sons Move from Obedience to Righteousness
Paul says, because Christ was obedient even to the death on the cross, all through Spirit rebirthing will be made righteous in Him (Rom. 5:19, I Cor. 1:30). We received Christ Jesus our Lord at our Spiritual rebirthing (Rom. 5:21). We now need to obey by choosing to let Christ Jesus our Lord flow through us in obedience to the Father, free from any carnal sin and disobedience from our choices (Rom. 6:11, 6:23, and 7:25). We need to know that Christ put sin to death on the cross, and "reckon" ourselves dead to sin, and indeed "alive to God through Christ Jesus our Lord" (Rom. 6:11). Paul declares, that we should already know "that to whom we present ourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness" (Rom. 6:16). Rebirthed sons should choose and obey the voice of Christ, and become slaves of righteousness (Rom. 6:18).

Sixth, Obedient Rebirthed Sons Flow in His Righteousness to Holiness
Our obedient choices to His voice, become the foundation material that the Holy Spirit can use to help teach and reveal Christ to us. As it is revealed to us by the Holy Spirit, with obedience the mind is renewed. This gives Christ in us a mind to increase His flow and expression through us for others. This mind of Christ that we ever have in us (I Cor. 2:16), is used by Christ to flow out His life through us in righteousness for others. Also, the mind of Christ gives us the connection to the Father for our love obedience fellowship with Him, through holiness of Christ in us. Ah, this is the real point that we can begin to clearly hear His voice. When we cooperate with Him, and genuinely let Him live in and through us, we are removed from the selfishness and sin. His life flow in us, cleanses, purifies, and purges us. Eventually, there is nothing but Him, flowing in spontaneous expression through us to others and to the Father.

Seventh, Rebirthed Sons Choices of Obedience Determine Their Expression
Christ in us produces His life of holiness in and through us whose end is eternal life (Rom. 6:22). Rebirthed son's choices determine their expression to God and others. Rebirthed sons either obey His voice and let Him and His Spirit of love be expressed to others – or in selfishness, they choose to obey the world, the flesh, and the devil and get compromise, heartache, sin and death (Rom. 6:23). We say NO to the body of sin and YES to Jesus Christ our Lord (Rom 7:24,25).
