Dear Fellow Believers in Christ, (Christ Overcomes the World today in and through us)
We are in this physical world, but how do we operate in the world in the realm of the Spirit? How can Christ be our peace in the midst of the storms of the world? Why is our Spiritual rebirthing so significant, concerning overcoming the World? How does the spiritual authority of Christ in us as us work in the world? How critical are our choices about the love of the world and the love of the Father? How does Christ overcome the world today in and through us? Holy Spirit show us Christ in us as our overcoming faith and life in us as us.THE WORLD
"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world" (John 16:33).
First, We are Spiritually Rebirthed with Christ in Us to Handle the World
We have been physically birthed into this world through a physical father and mother for physical life. We live in a physical world. There are numerous circumstances and situations that we face in the world, that will require more than just mere earthly wisdom and knowledge to fully handle them. Our Heavenly Father knew this, when He planned our life in this world. This is why He chose us to be in Christ before the foundation of the world (Eph. 1:4). He was going to send His son to live in this world for a season. His Son would experience everything that we would face, "yet without sin" (Hebr. 4:15). At our Spirit rebirthing, Christ would become our life (I John 5:11-12). Truly, we cannot handle this physical world with our physical limitations. However, Christ is in us in Person, Spirit, nature, and life to express Himself in us as us, who can fully handle in the Spirit all things of this temporal world.
Second, Christ in us Is Our Peace in the Midst of the Storms of the World
There was a time where the disciples and Jesus was in a boat on the Sea of Galilee. Jesus went fast asleep. While he was sleeping, a tempest quickly came up, which often happens on the Sea of Galilee (Mar 4:34). Then, His disciples awoke Him and said, "Lord, save us! We are perishing!" (Matt. 8:25). Jesus woke and said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" (Matt. 8:26a). Then Jesus "arose and rebuked the winds and the sea. And there was a great calm" (Matt. 8: 26b). His disciples "marveled, saying, 'Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?' " (Matt. 8:27). Christ had taught them with parables and had given His disciples the answers, but they had soon forgotten and failed to apply and stand on the truth. With our Spirit rebirthing, we now have Christ – the calmer of the storms living on the inside of us. We have Christ – the rebuker to every storm we face, living on the inside of us. We have Christ, who is our peace living inside of us as us (Eph. 2:14). Our faith is in His faithfulness in us, to be expressed and flow forth in the midst of every storm.
Third, Our Spirit Rebirthing by Faith is the Victory to Overcome the World
With our Spirit rebirthing in Christ, we now have the ability to operate and function in this physical world in the realm of the Spirit. This is important for us to know and understand. Our Spirit rebirthing is a great an effectual open door for us to operate in. John declares, "For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory, that overcomes the world – our faith" (I John 5:4). Our Father has provided us all the Spiritual means to handle this world. The Holy Spirit spoke the rhema word of Christ to us in the beginning, which produced His eternal faith in us (Rom. 10:17). We simply believed that Jesus was the Son of God, and this gives the victory to overcome the world (I Jn. 5:5).
Fourth, Our Spirit Authority is through Christ in Us in the World
John states, "The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand" (John 3:35). John also declares that, "The Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son" (John 5:22). Jesus clearly instructed the disciples, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and earth" (Matt. 28:18). The Father truly has given all judgement and authority into the hands of His Son. Jesus also told His disciples that, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work. The Father is living in and doing the works in the Son (John 14:10). The Son is now working in and through the many membered Body of Christ. This is why Jesus promised to do "greater works" in us (John 14:12), for it will be through every member of His many membered body. Christ will be living in us as us (Gal. 2:20). Christ will speak His word of authority in and through the members of His body. After Jesus told the disciples that He had all authority (Matt. 28:18, He told them to "go therefore. . ." (Matt. 28:19). The life and authority of Christ would soon be in them as them. On the Day of Pentecost, His life and authority began through His Church in this world.
Fifth, We Need the Mind of Christ in Us as we Live and Walk in the World
Paul's love command is that we should, "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus" (Phil 2:5). Christ humbled Himself, and let the Father live in and through Him for others. This is the same mind we are to have. The Holy Spirit needs to reveal and teach us of Christ in us, and the 100% grace through His completion of His salvation works on the cross (I Cor. 2:10, 2). May the Holy Spirit teach us of all spiritual things (I Cor. 2:13), until there is full discernment and judgement flowing forth from the mind of Christ within us (I Cor. 2:14-16). Christ must flow forth in His spontaneous life expression in us as us. This can take place, to the amount of Holy Spirit transformed mind we have, and to the degree we make our choices to live to that knowledge (Rom. 8:6).
Sixth, We Choose Either the Love of the World or the Love of the Father
Certainly our three (3) enemies are the World, the flesh, and the devil (Jas. 3:15). However, our choices and responses determine whether these are stepping stones or stumbling blocks. John says, "Do not love the world or the things of the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him" (I Jn. 2:15). If we love the world we will be distracted from our focus and love of the Father. John also says, "For all that is in the world – the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life – is not of the Father but is of the world" (I Jn. 2:16). The lust of the flesh is to live and do things instead of or aside from Christ in us. The lust of the eyes is to get what we see for ourselves instead give of ourselves for others. The pride of life is to be what we can be on our own, instead of letting all glory and honor be to and from Christ in us, in this temporal world.
Seventh, Christ Lives and is Expressed through Us to Overcome the World
Jesus lived in this earth without sin, to accomplish all things for us. Since our rebirthing, we have Christ, the overcomer of the world now living in us, to accomplish all things in us as us (John 16:33; Gal. 2:20). We are His vessels (II Cor. 4:7). We need the increase of Christ to be expressed through us (John 3:30). Christ is to be our righteousness, holiness, wisdom, strength, peace, love, and grace with every ability to live and accomplish all things in us in the world!
